CONTACT INFO

As an extension of the Catholic Church’s commitment to those in need, St. Agnes parish is attempting to alleviate the hardships endured by many of the domestic workers in our community. Some of these hardships include lack of sufcient medical care, frustration and loss of opportunities because they do not speak or understand English, loneliness and separation from their families and children.

This Ministry seeks to address these issues through the development of community spirit among the domestic workers by ofering them a place where they feel at home. We provide them with Bible and English classes, medical services including treatment, and immigration and employment assistance. The entire program functions through the generous service of St. Agnes parish volunteers and the fnancial support of the Church and our sponsors.

Homeless - Camillus House

Monaguillos

Each month we invite the St. Agnes community to participate in our Ministry to cook for our homeless of Camillus House. Once per month, in the comfort of your own kitchen, you prepare a meal using a recipe we provide. We also provide the containers in which you will freeze the food.

On the first Thursday of each month we ask that you bring the frozen cooked meal to St. Agnes between 11:15 and 11:30 am, and we will deliver it to Camillus House. It is an easy way to feed 10 homeless persons per container.

Join this Ministry

The purpose of the Respect Life Ministry is to raise awareness in our parish and community about the many ways the dignity of life and religious liberty are threatened in our country. We organize activities to educate parishioners in the noble and elevating details of Catholic social teaching regarding marriage, family, and the sacredness of human life from conception to natural death. We do this through seminars, talks, and activities such as anti-abortion demonstrations, and we do this for the Parish, the Academy and CCD.

This Ministry also supports the pregnancy crisis centers of the Archdiocese of Miami through fundraising, encouraging couples or single mothers to welcome their babies by providing them with basic needs and, most of all, assistance and compassion from the volunteers. We meet as needed in our homes or at the South Dade Pregnancy Center, depending upon the specific activity.

Rosary Altar Society

Monaguillos

The Rosary Altar Society, which was established in 1981, is the oldest Ministry at Saint Agnes. We are women who promote devotion to the Rosary and we also dedicate ourselves to the care of the Altar and vestments. We are responsible for the Church’s décor, providing flowers, linens, candles, and seasonal decorations. We have monthly meetings every first Friday, which include Mass, Holy Rosary in the Chapel, discussion, and a spiritual meditation. There is an annual $15 membership and all ladies are invited to join us.
